On Gather, I'm Looking For ...:
help. I work for Minnesota Public Radio News... and an initiative called Public Insight Journalism. I want to use Gather as a way to let people know about the work we're doing and - more importantly - invite people to give their expertise to those issue. Maybe you'll be a part of the reporting.

Employers:
Michael Caputo has 20 years of experience in daily newsrooms in radio,
television and newspapers,
mainly as a political reporter. He has written Web and newspaper political columns,
covered national Democratic and Republican conventions,
hosted talk shows,
debates and forums and produced election specials. ,
As an analyst for Minnesota Public Radio's "Public Insight Network",
Caputo has brought the newsroom stories from the network and sources to aid MPR stories. He has produced and moderated numerous "Public Insight Forums" - from education problems to Iraq War vets,
which have led to broadcasts and/or story ideas. He has also directly produced stories and web content for the station. ,
Before joining Minnesota Public Radio,
he was news director for public TV station WXXI in Rochester,
NY,
where he hosted and edited a weekly news show and also reported for WXXI radio. Caputo became interested in tapping public insight while working at the Rochester (N.Y.) Democrat and Chronicle newspaper and working with its "Voice of the Voter" project,
which involved bringing citizens into political coverage. At WXXI,
he worked on a cross-media collaboration as part of MacNeil/Lehrer's "By the People" project,
which held citizen forums around the country.
